Admission, payment of Fees and allotment of Supervisor

The final merit list shall be declared by the Department concerned. On receipt of the
letter of admission, each candidate shall pay the fees as prescribed within stipulated
date and complete other official formalities pertaining to admission within stipulated time
failing which he/she shall forfeit his/her claim for the provisional admission.

Following admission fee payment modes will be available to the candidates:

I. Online payment (through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net banking) through the payment
gateway available on the Portal.

NOTE
i). For online payment the candidate must visit Course Allocation page and make the
payment through debit/credit card, etc.
ii). To secure admission in the course for which the candidate is provisionally offered
he/she should pay the prescribed Admission Fee within the deadline for
payment of admission fee as mentioned in the offer of admission (shown on
the Course Allocation page) within the deadline mentioned in the offer letter.
(a) A candidate will be treated as provisionally admitted in the course offered only
after the prescribed fee has been paid by him/her. In case they do not make
payment of fee through above mode within the prescribed deadline, they will forfeit their
claim for admission in the University. On successful payment of prescribed
admission fee, the payment ID will appear in the ‘Application’ page of the
candidate’s portal as well as in the admitted list available on the admission
committee site of the portal. Further, the provisional admission of the candidate to
the concerned programme shall be subject to such Ordinances, Rules and Regulations
as may be framed from time to time by the University.
(b) However, if a candidate, on declaration of final merit list by various departments,
stands selected for admission in more than one discipline, he/ she shall be
allowed to take admission in only one of the disciplines based on his/ her choice/
preference and merit in the discipline.
(c) Candidates can download the Admission letter from their portals only after the
admissions are over in the concerned discipline or they have locked their allotment after
any round of declaration of admission list. The admission letter will contain the date on
which they have to report to the University for their Ph.D. and the documents that they
are required to bring at the time of reporting.
ALLOTMENT OF SUPERVISOR

Thereafter, the allotment of Supervisor will be done by the DRC for those who have
secured admission by depositing the admission fee. The DRC would formally allot a
Ph.D. supervisor (and Co-Supervisor/s, if required) for the selected candidates on their
proposed research topic.
Note: The candidates who are admitted against the vacancies in the Colleges (admitted to
the privileges of the University) will have faculty members of the concerned College as
their Supervisor. All such candidates would be treated as the research scholars of the
concerned college and shall be required to pay the requisite fee in the concerned College.
