ABSTRACT
Background: Pregnancy exercise is a form to strengthen and maintain the
muscles of the abdominal wall, ligaments, and pelvic floor muscles associated
with labor. This exercise serves to strengthen the stability of the body's core which
will help maintain spinal health. The purpose of this Case Study is to describe
nursing care by giving pregnancy exercises to reduce back pain in Trimester III
pregnant women in the work area of the Brang Rea Health Center. This research
method uses descriptive method with a case study approach. The case study
subjects used in this study were one third trimester pregnant woman with back
pain. Data collection is done by interview and observation. The results obtained
are there is a decrease in pain scale in third trimester pregnant women with back
pain after being given action for 3x a week with a decrease in pain scale value of
2. The conclusion obtained is the effect of pregnancy exercises on decreasing pain
scale in trimester III pregnant women with back pain in Working Area of Brang
Rea Health Center. Pregnancy exercises can be used as a substitute for non-
pharmacological therapy that can be applied by pregnant women at home.
