Manpower:- At present we have around 15 field engineers having B.tech/Dip in Electrical eng g with 2-7 yrs of
experience, all our engineers are have relevant previous experience and they are trained as per the requirement of
OISD 225 and various other standards, safety issues/guidelines, first aid and reporting methodology
There is a 5-6 member dedicated office team to look after the operations and report validation and client
communication which includes project manager, project coordinators, data entry operation & draftsmen
The Process:-
the inspection engineer goes to the RO,
performs the inspection,
prepares the reports takes photos of the relevant items and send them to the office in scan form,
the office team validates the data ,
then we do the data entry in IOCL’s e-audit portal,
the final report sent to the client/Dos contains the copy of portal report,
drawings, audit summary & original dealer signed letter and earthing certificates (to verify the presence of
engineer at site)
Issues Faced:-
Client expectation of report submission in portal right from the RO,
Availability of movement in present scenario
Issue of engineering officers trying to blame non-compliance on the inspection engineer by blaming for false
reporting instead of talking/educating their contractors
