REACTION PAPER

The Movie entitled “The Current War” is all about a battle of inventions, intellect and ideas. It portrays a
competition involving one’s own right to his or her invention. In said movie, the right to one’s invention
and/or patents are the main issues because it appears that those rights are susceptible to infringement.

In our laws, the right to patent belongs to the inventor, his heirs or assigns. For such right to be
protected against any infringement, the must be filed an application for patent with the appropriate
office. Otherwise, such patent would be a subject of infringement. In this movie, inventor Edison failed
to protect his right over his current invention as the same was stolen by other inventor.

In this sense, it must be stressed that one should protect his or her right by filing an application for
patent with the office designated for such purpose.
