It’s an absolutely engaging, addicting and extraordinary biography about 1965 and the revolution of those who wanted to be treated and seen as equals in society. It shows us that only one person can change everything he/she wants and that the most important thing is to stay peaceful. Martin Luther King’s determination, the trust his own supporters had on him, were really important to determinate the black people revolution. They had what they wanted, and that is something to fascinate about. The most incredible thing about “SELMA” is that it shows the problems they had during their fight and how they didn’t stand down even when it seen impossible to accomplish. I loved the fact that this movie gives us the key to know more about our past, why things today are as they are, why black people are so proud about Dr. King. And they should keep remembering him since he made such an impact in our society. This movie also send an important message. We should fight for what we want, do everything we can to realize our dreams, to never give up, but to never forget that you accomplish more when you’re not aggressive and you fight peacefully. If you haven’t seen it yet, you must because this is a truly refreshing, haunting and revolutionary one that changes you while you’re seeing it without you recognize it. Inês Neves, 10ºA
