Possessive demonstrative pronouns. (Use to express possession and location)
These are always written after the verb and usually at the end of the sentence.

POSSESSIVE SENTENCES / POSSESSIVE EXPRESSIONS USING ’(apostrophe) and S.
USES:
1-For names that END in all the letters Except S, sh, ch, x, z.(Monica, Isabel, Alfonso, Yadira, Irving)
You write the name of the person and add an apostropge and an S at end of the name of the person and then right after
you write the possession.
Ex: Monica’s English book is red. There are cokes in the fridge, they are My Dad’s, don’t drink it he will get mad.

2-For the names of persons that END in S, X, SH, CH, Z (Alex, Carlos, Jesus, ) ’
Write an apostrophe at the end of the name of the person and an S, BUT pronounce it with an invisible E.
Carlos’s pants are new. (Carlos’es INCORRECT)

3-For singular object that Don’t END in S X, SH, Z SH.


Same rule than the previous BUT write the word THE before the noun. (pencil, table, car, classroom, computer)

4-For singular nouns that END in S< SH< CH< X< Z. (dish, church, dress, box, )
Apply the same rule as the names that end in S,X. 1- 2-
EX: The dish’s size is big. The, church’s paintings are very beautiful. The dress’s price is very high.
Pronounce it with an invisible A before S. The dishes, The churches, The dresses.

5-For plural nouns (all plural end in S) (pencils, tables, cars, classrooms, computers, churches, dresses)
For plural nouns you write and apostrophe at the end of the plural noun BUT Don’t write any more S. 1- 2
EX: The pencils’ color is yellow. The tables’ price is cheap. The dresses’ owner is the lady at the cashier.
PERSONAL OBJECT We use object pronouns as direct objects: She called me. (She called I/INCORRECT)
PRONOUNS PRONOUNS We use object pronouns as indirect objects. We send the teacher the HW/We send her the HW
We use object pronouns as a preposition. We sent it.

II. In your notebook write 10 sentences using ’s applied to the 5 rules 2 of each.

III. In your notebook write the 14 or 16 sentences using personal pronouns in the sentence, and then rewriting the sentence
with OBJECT PRONOUNS.
IV. SOLVE THE NEXT PROBLEMS USING CARDINAL NUMBERS AND SOLVE THEMFROMM LEFT TO RIGHT (DO NOT WRITE
