Katherine

The mom. Very prim and proper. Tightly wound and a perfectionist. She is getting
married and is catering her own wedding. She wants her family to get along so that her
wedding day can be perfect. When she turns into Ellie, see the character description

Excuse me what did you say? Well, I hate your attitude ​(right after they’ve switched
bodies so Katherine is now Ellie in Katherine’s body) ​Oh really, Mom? I’m a child-?
What the- AHHHHHHH! You have my face! You have my face and my body! And you
just broke my hourglass. ​What​… ​is​… ​happening​?!? You keep away from me, you weird
clone! You are not my mom! Shut up! ​(realizing) ​Oh my god, you ​are​ my mom. How’d
you get in my body? I’m in ​your​ body? No Way! This suuuuuuuuucks. ​(to herself)​ It’s a
super bad dream. ​(slaps her own face) ​Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. ​(pulls at the skin
on her face) ​Woah, I pull it and it just stays there. Mom, maybe we’re tripping. Someone
slipped us a drug. Fletcher! We’re sick. I’m calling 911.

Ellie

The daughter. Kinda messy and wants to have more freedom. She is struggling with the
loss of her father and is angry at her mom for getting married so soon after. She has a
massive crush on Adam and wants desperately to win the hunt. When she turns into
Katherine, see the character described above.

(under breath) ​I hate you. ​(normal voice) ​I said I hate you! ​(Right after they’ve switched
bodies so Ellie is now Katherine in Ellie’s body) E ​ llie, you are acting like a child. What
the- This is not funny! AHHHHH! Honey....? Ellie. Ellie. Ellie! It’s me. It’s mom! I’m mom.
(reprimanding) ​Ellie, you are not to tell me to shut up! How did you get in my body? I
don’t understand this. Stop that! Your brother did not drug us! Wait, no! Don’t call 911. If
we go to the hospital right now and we say we switched bodies, we’d be locked in the
psych ward and medicated until someone wrote a book about us. No hospitals. No
doctors. No way. We have to figure this out on our own.
 Adam

Cool guy in school. Has a crush on Ellie. He is the listmaster - he’s the guy that is in
charge of running the hunt. This is the scene when he starts giving out clues for the
hunt to begin but he notices Fletcher and starts talking with him.

(​holding out his phone, live streaming the beginning of the hunt)​ Hunters. This year’s
hunt has officially begun. And here’s your first clue. ​(Gesture to bus sign)​ See the sign?
This clue is gonna be solved by the fastest mind with the fastest mode of transportation,
meaning first come, first solved. If it’s gone when you get here, move on to clue two and
beyond. Happy Hunting! ​(To Fletcher)​ Where you headed? Hollywood? Long Bus trip.
What’s your name? Oh. Sup Fletcher. I go to the same school as your sister? Who’s
your sister? Ellie Blake. Your mom is the ​Sandwich Lady​? Awesome.

Mike

Katherine’s fiance. He is oblivious to the body switch and just thinks Katherine is acting
strange. He loves Katherine and is sed to putting up with her crazy. In this scene,
Katherine and Mike are meeting with their pastor the day before the wedding.

Katie! ​(notices Pastor Bruno) Y​ ou remember Pastor Bruno… from the wedding
workshop weekend- You want us to tell you about the day we first met? I love that.
(Goes into the story) ​Okay, I come in, first day on the job - I was designing her kitchen
cabinets - Katie’s at the stove working on something. I say, “Wow, that smells great -
only thing I know how to cook are seven-layer bars.” She said, “Seven-layer bars don’t
actually count as cooking.” She hates seven-layer bars. ​(About the vows) K ​ atie, I know
how important it is for you to have all the details perfect. The vows are important to me.
I want to stand up there with you tomorrow, in front of everyone we love, and say words
that come from us.
 Fletcher

Ellie’s little brother. He has two puppets - Angry Bob the purple hippo and Caspian the
Brittish starfish - that are with him always. He is a bit misunderstood but he loves his
sister and his mom. In this scene, he is in the car with Katherine, his mom.

You wanna hear my wedding toast? It’s gonna be so cool when you and Mike are
married. I don’t think about dad because I don’t remember him very much. ​(As Caspian)
I say, old chap, are we going to pick up Ellie about now? ​(Normal voice)​ Of course, I
wish she were here, she’s awesome. She’s just cool. She shows me how to do cool
things. Like, there was this kid, Glen, who was mean to me. So she showed me how to
fill water balloons with hot water and then we waited until he walked by and then we
creamed him. So cool. I stick my puppets in her face because it’s fun. ​(as angry Bob)
I’m able to work on my heckler comebacks. ​(normal voice)​ I’m building my act for when I
go to Los Angeles

Savannah

Most popular girl in school. She hates Ellie and wants to win the hunt. In this scene, she
faces off with Ellie in order to get the hourglass, the last clue. Whoever gets the
hourglass will win the hunt.

(To Ellie) I​ want that hourglass. ​(To Mrs. Time) ​My father is an alderman. If I don’t get
the hourglass ​now​, he can call the I.R.S. to audit your books. For the next five years.
(Mrs. Time hand her the hourglass) ​So close… and yet, at the end of the day, you are
who you are. Little girl, why don’t you call your mommy for a ride home?
