 ¾ cup (1½ sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature, 170g

 2 cups old-fashioned oats, 180gm


 ¾ cup (packed) light brown sugar, 150g  less brown sugar and more granulated
sugar to make it snappier
 ¼ cup granulated sugar, 50g

 2 eggs
 1 cup all-purpose flour, 130g  less flour, more quick cooking oats

 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

 1 teaspoon salt
 ½ teaspoon baking soda

 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- cream wet ingredients, then add egg, then dry ingredients, maybe don’t process quick
cooking oats but just steel cut ones
