Friday 13th November 2020

My dear people,
I hope that you are all well and keeping safe as we enjoy 14 consecutive days of no new cases.
Our use of an online booking system (TryBooking) for attendance at Mass for weekday Masses has
proved to be quite successful. We have made things a bit easier by closing bookings at 7pm the day
before for the three Masses of any given day. Bookings for Masses will open at 9am three days in advance
and as already mentioned, will close at 7pm the day before. We will continue to allocate people to the
weekend Masses for the time being until everyone who has registered has come to a weekend Mass at
least once.
For those without internet/computer access or who find the online booking system too complex, you can
call the office to book a spot.
If things remain the same, the plan made public by the Premier of Victoria last Sunday mentions that we
will go to 100 at Masses from the 22nd November 2020 at 11:59pm. From then, all Masses will be
available via the online booking system. More details will be made available in my message of 20th
November 2020.
Over the past two weeks I have had the great joy and privilege of celebrating the first Confessions of our
Grade 3 students in our two parish primary schools. It is sad that the students due to receive Holy
Communion for the first time were not able to do that this year. With the two Principals and RELs, we are
looking at ways to celebrate these next year. Once decisions are made, these will be conveyed to the
whole parish.
As we continue with the month of November, let us continue to pray for the repose of the souls of our
deceased relatives and friends. Envelopes for November Masses are available in the church foyer for you
to pick up as you come to Mass over the next weeks, if you haven’t already picked one up. Also, a
reminder that you are welcome to send the names of your deceased loved ones by email, and their names
will be written in the book. I must stress that it is only the names of your relatives and friends who have
died in the last twelve months. You can find our email below.
If you are interested in joining us to pray the rosary as a community, please send an email to
CarolineSprings@cam.org.au and the ZOOM meeting details will be sent to you. Again we are enjoying
virtual drinks after praying the rosary on Saturdays. If you would like to join for that part only, please feel
free to do so.
As always, I am available at the presbytery and am happy to offer any assistance that may be required.
We continue turning to our patron saint and we ask for her intercession.
St Catherine of Siena, Pray for us .

Yours sincerely in Christ,

Fr Richard Rosse PP

year, in the book yourselves.
