"This is what cancer looks like."

Dr. Patricia Flowers had a history of breast cancer in her family, but
insurance prevented her from affordable access to 3D mammograms. Settling
for 2D scans, Flowers was eventually diagnosed with what became Stage 3
breast cancer in July of 2014.
"I thought I was prepared," Flowers said.
 After a bilateral mastectomy, eight rounds of chemo, and thirty-three
radiation treatments, Flowers was able to celebrate her five-year
'survivorversary' in 2019. She now serves as an advocate for breast cancer
awareness, known for supporting friends and even complete strangers as they
get mammograms or undergo treatment.
"Cancer changed my life, but it didn't take my life," Flowers said. "I'm thankful
for the things I've gained from it."
Flowers is proof that mammograms make the
difference in the early detection of breast cancer.

again," Flowers said. "Believe me when I say it's
worth it. It's an investment in you, an investment
in your life."
