To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to write on behalf of Emily Barnett. Emily has been a valued member of the
staff at Callanan Middle School for the past six years. Emily has worked as a Math teacher at
Callanan with our seventh and eighth grade students.

As an administrator, I have observed her instruction and interactions with students daily. Her
teaching style is relationship based as she challenges students to set goals and monitors their
progress as they work towards these goals. Emily collaborates daily within her PLC. She is an
effective communicator and can adapt quickly to the unique situations that often arise at a middle
school. Emily is a team player, has a growth mindset and works very hard at her craft. During
her time at Callanan, Emily has taken the challenge to expand her leadership role. She has
facilitated our Tier One team as well as assisting to lead our eighth-grade PLC. She is
consistently seeking out new challenges that will enhance her leadership ability.

I recommend Emily as a motivated educator and educational leader. Emily continues to work
each day to improve and is a life-long learner. She has proven herself to be a compassionate
teacher who sincerely cares about the success of all students. She would be a wonderful addition
to any staff.
