Silver and Shadows

Girls or Group 1

The moonglow fell soft in silver and shadows, Washing the world with wonder and light.

Deep in a stable, a manger was waiting, with arms full of hay to cradle the Child.

Boys or Group 2

A gentle wind blows, delighting a candle. Dancing for joy, it leaps in the night.

Glowing with warmth and delicate beauty, it offers itself to the Father of lights.

All:

No palace of marble to welcome the King. No bed of comfort, no bright golden ring.

Only a stable, a poor cattle stall, just silver and shadows and a cradle of straw.

Tonight we gather in halls filled with wonder, adorned with the beauty of worship and praise,

Let us remember the silver and shadows, the cradle of wood where God sent His grace.

Where God sent His grace…

Where God sent His grace…..
