Name: Wisdom Psalms Three types of psalms based on format: Hymn, Lament, Thanksgiving. Wisdom psalms do not have a set format. They are identified by content: wisdom themes and vocabulary. Wisdom themes: you reap what you sow (consequences), the fear of the LORD, godly choices. Wisdom vocabulary: wisdom, knowledge, instruction (=law), blessed, walk, way, wicked, righteous, lips/tengue/mouth (language and speech), proverb, riddle, fool, foolish.
