What is a set of instructions?
A set of instructions explains how to make or produce something.
You do this by making sure that the reader can complete the task
you have described. Instructions can be a set of procedures, such as a
recipe, or guidelines for assembling a product from a kit. They are set
out in a logical step-by-step fashion to enable the reader to complete
something successfully.

Writing to a specific audience


When giving instructions, you are wdting in the role of 'expert' and
your readers are the 'learners'. When writing a set of instructions,
address the readers directly but politely. You may want to use a more
chatty style if you are addressing friends or classmates. However,
