My writing space is a desk, it looks smaller on camera, but it is fine to me. My desk has

two layers to it, the top layer had a desktop computer, sticky notes and notecards, my label maker

to help me organize everything (I have an obsession with organizing things), a lamp for when

natural light just is not enough, a hanging succulent with essential oils in it, and a bunch of fidget

toys to help keep me focused while in class or doing homework. The bottom layer of my desk

has a little more to it, it has a three-layer organizer, the top layer is for loose-leafed paper, the

middle is for my class notebooks, and the bottom is where my art therapy books are for when I

am stressed. Along with the three-layer organizer, I have a container for binder clips and

paperclips, a calculator and extra mouse for my laptop, a bag for my calligraphy pens and refill

inks, a couple of pencil sharpeners for art and school, extra lead for pencils, whiteout,

glue and tape, my textbooks, a mesh metal holder for my pens, pencils and highlighters, a small

notebook to write down my homework in, and finally my phone and laptop. Everything on my

desk is important for different reasons, but they all help me get my work done.

I have gotten so used to my workspace and everything on it, so I do not have very many

complaints or issues with it. But on the other hand, the lighting in the room I work in is not

particularly good, when the sun is out I have perfect natural light in the room, but when the sun

starts going down I must turn on the desk lamp. The desk lamp works fine but it gives off a glair

when I am on a video call. The sound in the room could be a little better but there is nothing I

can do about that because I have two dogs and a cat, but I drown out the sounds with music

which helps me focus on my work. My workspace used to be my bedroom and it had too many

distractions that caused my work to plummet, while my workspace now helps keep me in the

zone and helps draw me into my work.
