Dr. Gibbs,
Moving into the 21st Century has created some very uncertain times in regards to in person
learning, technology, and safety of community due to increased unpredictable weather, pandemics, and
violence in our streets. It is time to look at options to continue the learning progression by looking at
methods our teachers can use to present subject content with safety at the forefront.
Internet provides a means to protect all our stakeholders, children, parents, community, and
staff; it presents knowledge through communication via websites, emails, blogs, texting and
information. Many of these resources are protected by software that filter out spam and keep
identification private.
Knowledge is power, educators need training to fine tune their skills to tackle this giant
expectation. The link I have provided is the most current resource provided via our University Of
Phoenix Tools. “Cool tech tools for lower tech teachers: 20 tactics for every classroom.”
Bender and Waller (2014). They consider:

 Framing each tool in the context of what you need to know

 Defining the tool in easy-to-understand language; there's no tech-speak
 Guiding you through implementation step by step
 Providing sample lesson plans to get you started
 Explaining how some tools can also be used for professional development

Please take the time to consider my rational for moving toward technology in the 21st
Century.

Cordially,

Robin Raatz Fischer
