Creating Atomic Models

There are 2 types of atomic models you will be making

Model 1 will require sewing electron shells
Model 2 will be creating molecules with the molymod kits
___________________________________________________________________________
Model 1 Bohr Model
Select an element with atomic number 1-20, using a periodic table if needed, determine the
number of protons, electrons and neutrons contained in a single atom and draw the Bohr
model for this atom below. Once drawn, designate a colour to each atomic component and
sew a physical model of your element
Element: _______________
Number of: protons _________ neutrons _________ electrons _________
Colour of: protons _________ neutrons _________ electrons _________
Model 2 Lewis Structure
Using the molymod kits, create each of the following molecules and compounds and draw
the Lewis structure in the space provided

H CH4

H2 O CO2

C4H10 NH3
