What is Business English

Business is generally used in many different languages, including in
Indonesian using the world ’bisnis’. While, business English is English especially
related to international trade. Business, then, is a combination of these three kinds of
activities, such as, production, distribution, and sale of goods and service. Business
English, it focuses on vocabulary and topics used in the worlds of business, trade,
finance, accounting, management, and international relations. For others it refers to
the communication skills used in the workplace, and focuses on language and skills
needed for typical business communication such as presentations, negotiations,
meetings, small talk, and similar related activities.
Business plays a vital role in the life and culture of countries with industrial
and postindustrial free-market economies. In free-market systems, prices and wages
are primarily determined by competition, not by goverment. In some countries, like
indonesia many people buy an sell goods and services as their primary occuupatins,
such as traders, doctors, and teachers. Business provide just about anything
consumers need or want, including basic necassities such as cloth, food, and housing.
Luxuries such as costly cars and wide-screen televisions, and even personal services
such as caring for children and finding entertainment.
