OVERVIEW

DL 10116 allows star/delta starting of three-phase motor, to be used in DE LORENZO electric

machine laboratories.

The switch can be also used for electric machines of other manufacturers, provided they have the
same features.

MECHANICAL FEATURES

DL 10116 is realized in a fire varnished metal housing, with a clear synoptic printed through silk-
screening process.

OPERATING FEATURES

Turn the knob of DL 10116 on position "0".

The terminals L1, L2 and L3 are not connected to terminals U1, U2, V1, V2, W1 and W2.

Setting the knob on position "Y" the following terminals are connected:
 L1 with U1
 L2 with V1
 L3 with W1

Terminals U2, V2 and W2 are interconnected to obtain a star connection.

Setting the knob on position "Δ " the following terminals are connected:
 L1 with U1 and W2
 L2 with V1 and U2
 L3 with W1 and V2

It is possible to check the above with a standard ohm-meter.

HOW TO USE DL 10116

The use of DL 10116 is simple; please refer to the following figure.

It is important that you first connect the ground terminal to a good ground socket.

MAINTENANCE

The module does not need special maintenance and can be easily checked.

In case of malfunctioning, FIRSTLY DISCONNECT ALL THE TERMINALS, then open the
module to gain access to the internal components.

It is enough to check that the components and the connections are in accordance with the electrical
diagram and properly working.
