Family: By Heart and by Blood

When we hear the word ‘Family’ what comes first in our mind is blood. Family is blood.
People who are related to you: grandfather, grandmother, mother, father, siblings, aunts, uncles,
people with the same blood running in your veins and people with the same physical features or
genes you possess. But is that true? Are people who are related to you can only be called your
family?
Family is motivation and inspiration. Family is strength. Family is home. What family
really is, is not only your blood or the people who are related to you, but also the people who
motivates you to catch your dreams, the one to inspire you to strive hard to succeed, and the
people who gives you reasons to hold on and not give up. People you are comfortable to be with,
the people who accept you as you are; flaws, imperfections, ambiguities and all. The people who
are always there to help you up when you’re done. Family can be your blood and close friends.
They don’t have to share your blood, as long as they consider you as their family and you of
them, then that’s enough.
Family is the most important thing in this world, without family we are nothing. Because
family loves, not hate. Family helps, not hinder. Family trusts, not betray. Family is ‘I will
always be by your side no matter what’. Family is everything and with family, no one gets left
behind or forgotten. Family is treasure.
