Personal Introduction

Nikki Anderson

This digital portfolio represents who I am—a compassionate, hard-working individual who enjoys the
healthcare field and would like to pursue a career in phlebotomy. This portfolio showcases the
knowledge and experiences I have gained about my potential career field during my years in high school.
For example, under the Accomplishments tab of this portfolio, you will find my certifications and
achievements I’ve done in the past four years.

When people have a health question or need blood work done, I want them to come to me. I like to
work on challenging situations, but I enjoy helping people with any problem. It is important to me that
my work is helpful to others. I have a strong work ethic and I think that is one of the most important
qualities of an outstanding employee. At school this year, I was certified in phlebotomy at the Bartow
College and Career Academy and have a letter of recommendation from my former healthcare
instructor.

After I graduate from high school, I plan to pursue a career in a doctor’s office as a certified
phlebotomist. Right now, I am proficient in venipunctures to the dorsal hand, venipunctures in the
forearm and capillary sticks, many of these skills were both learned and improved by working with my
instructor. As you browse this digital portfolio, please pay special attention to how I use my love of
healthcare to help others.
