Title SIOP Interaction/Practice and Application
Summary of the The students were introduced to the SIOP concepts of Interaction and
Lesson Practice and Application through a series of PowerPoint slides, videos,
discussions, and a final Kahoot.

Procedure BEFORE:
Anticipatory Set
1. The students were lectured through a PowerPoint presentation
that allowed them to learn more or learn concepts of the
Interaction, Practice and Application part of the SIOP model.
DURING:
Teacher Modeling
1. The teachers co-taught a lesson on the SIOP model for students
to better understand the interaction, practice and application
process of the SIOP model. The teachers used a PowerPoint
presentation as a visual background for students to follow
along as the teachers talked through the presentation and
prompted discussions.
AFTER:
Closure
1. Today the students learned about the Interaction, Practice and
Application part of the SIOP model.
Student Resources 1. Students will be provided with the PowerPoint presentation for
their own viewing.
2. Making content comprehensible for English learners: The
SIOP Model by Echevarria, J., Vogt, M., & Short, D.
Accommodations The teacher will walk around and help any student that needs extra
assistance while completing the assignments. The teacher will also
stand next to the students who need frequent reminders to stay on
task.
