As you look into a web of a spider from afar, you may consider removing it as the spider
itself may be not welcome to your household. However, as you see it more closely, you could
see the complexity of the web, from its exquisite arachnid architecture defined by the structural
supports and its undeniable strength. To put to an analogy, Chief Seattle compared humans to
a spider’s web as he says, “Man did not weave the web of life. He is merely a strand in it.
Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.” Life is also complex, however, similar to a
spider’s web, life could also be defined by its structural support which may point out the
interconnectedness of all the world around us.

All things are bounded together, thus if one would fall, so does the others as well. In my
perspective, the “web of life” would imply the connection among all factors that would define life.
In the world, it is not only humans that comprise it but also the external factors that would make
life continue to exist.
