practice through her thoughtfully designed teaching materials. Sarah interacted with the refugee
students with professionalism, empathy and sincerity. Sarah looked for guidance from her
mentoring teacher and worked exceptionally well in a co-teaching context. Sarah led group work
and used a variety of teaching strategies to support the students’ literacy skills
