 What is a nutritious diet and why is it important?


A nutritious diet consists of meals that are made for you to eat often, helping your body
to grow well and to become healthier. Nutritious diets are important because your body
needs all the different vitamins and minerals to sustain it. All sorts of vitamins/minerals
help different parts of your body.
 How is your chosen meal nutritious? Include reference to kilojoules, carbohydrates,
fats, proteins and vitamins.

My chosen meal is nutritious because of all the vegetables and poultry mixed in it. Corn and peas are
full of fibre which is good for your bones, and also contain about 20g of protein in the dish. Onions
are full of many different types of vitamins, most of which help with avoiding cancer, controlling
blood sugar, helping strengthen bones and many more. The rice is full of carbohydrates, which is one
of the main needed vitamins/minerals needed for the body. Carbohydrates help your brain, kidneys,
heart and nervous system to function properly, and it helps digestion, making you feel fuller. Eggs
are full of protein as well, helping the heart function better
