Hyderabad, capital and largest city of Telangana State situated on the
Deccan Plateau along the banks of the Musi River. Much of Hyderabad is
situated on hilly terrain around artificial lakes, including the Hussain Sagar
Lake, predating the city’s founding. According to the 2011 Census of India,
Hyderabad is the fourth-most populous city in India with a population

‘Great cities are built with great governance’

Soon after the formation of Telangana State in 2014, under the leadership
of honorable Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and honorable Minister
for MA&UD K. T. Rama Rao, the Government of Telangana has envisioned
a multi-prong integrated approach to transform Hyderabad into a truly
global, livable and lovable city. As a result of proactive planning and

137 link roads are being constructed with a length of 126.2 kms in Hyderabad to Project Cost
improve road network linkages. The link roads not only ease Traffic flow, but also
