Friendship Lesson

Discussion:
● What makes a good friend? What makes a bad friend?
● How do you make new friends?
● How are YOU a good friend?
● Why are friends important?
● Are there limits to friendship? (stealing, lying, etc.)
● What makes a healthy friendship?
-Students will journal about these questions first for 10-15 minutes, then a group
discussion will occur.

Sharing/Examples:
● Share personal experiences--fallouts & good relationships
● Examples from media--​Descendants S ​ eries
○ Uma vs Charming. Who’s a good friend, who’s a bad friend? Why?
Distinguish between the two characters.

Group Activity:
Friendship Bracelets
● Each girl will make a friendship bracelet for someone else in the group
● Girls will pick names out of a hat, meaning each person will pick at random
and everyone will get a bracelet
● Girls will keep who they got a secret until the end of class where they will
present their bracelets to each other.
