GETTING STARTED

Namecheap is a very popular domain name and hosting company

and they do offer free .me domain names to students in colleges with an
.EDU email. To get started head over to https://nc.me

Search for your domain name and click on “find”:

Next, after searching for your desired domain name click on “ADD”

and then “Complete Order”. You should be brought to this next page which
you input your .edu email to proceed with your order:
Now input your student mail and click on “Finish up”. You should then see
a confirmation page like this:
Now all you have to do is to log in into your student email and on the
“Verify your email” link from the email sent by Namecheap:
Your account has now been verified, Next you should create an account for
your Namecheap account: After creating an account you can then log in to
your Namecheap Dashboard (or setup Github if you want to use your
domain with Github)
You can also click on “modify your records” to be redirected to your
Dashboard.
After Login in, this is what your Namecheap Dashboard should look like:

CONCLUSION

You have access to use the Domain for one whole year free of charge. You
can use the domain with any Hosting Company you wish. That’s about it for
