Republic Act No. 7079, otherwise known as Campus Journalism Act of 1991, declares that the State must uphold and protect the freedom of press even at the egmpus level and to promote the development and growth of campus journalism as campus of strengthening ethical values, encouraging critical and create thinking, 2 ene emveloping moral character and personal discipline of the Pilipino youth. 2, ‘The Department of Education Region Ill, through the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD), shall spearhead @ 2-day Online Training- Workshop on Campus Journalism on November 26-27, 2020 via Google Meet as platform from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 3, The online training-workshop aims to: 3:1 update participants on the latest trends, approaches, and principles of Journalistic writing in view of new normal in education; 3.2. promote the right to access information, knowledge, and data necessary to strengthen journalistic values; and 3.3. aelect three (3) best written outputs in each category both in English and Filipino, 4, The participants to this webinar are Regional and Division EPSs in English and Filipino, School Paper Advisers, and Campus Journalists. 5. The online training-workshop shall happen simultaneously in a designated Google Meet link both in English and Filipino. 7. The Opening Program (Day 1) shall be participated by Regional and Division EPSs in English (or Journalism) and Filipino and two (2) School Paper Advisers (English and Filipino).
