I strongly believe that I am on the 3 rd level and 6th stage of moral development.
This is because I find
doing what is morally and legally right as a responsibility rather than an obligation. I do believe that doing so would help everyone in this world achieve the common good. This is because having a morality that does good things does not hinder anyone from achieving anything, rather pushes them upon reaching what they want to reach. What I mean by that is, doing what is right and good will yield great results because we all inherently apply the golden rule. If we do good things to others, eventually, it will go back to us. For example, reporting my friend who cheats on exam. Getting him reprimanded may cause a problem in our friendship, but the most important thing in this happening was I disrupted his wrong habits. Cutting the bad roots won’t cause a tree to grow with anomalies. This friend of mine, years later, thanked me because what I had done caused him to change for the better. Basically, I’ve learned how to help not only myself but others (altruism). And I can do right decisions without being overwhelmed by their negative effects. Because I’ve finally navigated and grasped what is right, and that is to attain the common that is right and good in nature.
