Since sea level rise is the most concerning effect of global warming and climate change, scientists warn

that no matter what we do, the slow process of ice melting in Antarctica and Greenland will remain the
same for decades.[1]

So maybe now our focus and interest should be switched to how to build resilience against the
environmental changes or threats, and get prepared to face the tragedy that is coming. However, could
spending billions on a seawall be the ultimate solution to protect the cities at risk from sinking?
Moreover, for how long would the new infrastructure be able to withstand the unpredictable
environmental changes and the hydrological disasters?
