Designation: C1609/C1609M — 10 Standard Test Method for Flexural Performance of er-Reinforced Concrete (Using Beam With Third-Point Loading)’ ‘This stands ise wader the fined designation C1G091C16094; th amber imwesintly flloving he design nets te sr of vpn ation a, Inthe exte of revo, the year of list tevin A numer in pareahessinbttes the yea of Is ‘approval Asupesaritepsion )indcte n edo change sac th ast eision a eapva 1. Seope* 1.1 This test method evaluates the flexural performance of fiber-reinforced concrete using parameters derived from the load-deflection curve obtained by testing a simply supported ‘beam under third-point loading using a closed-loop, servo- controlled testing system. 1.2 This test method provides for the determination of first-peak and peak loads and the corresponding stresses calculated by inserting them in the formula for modulus of rupture given in Eq 1. Italso requires determination of residual loads at specified deflections, the corresponding residual sengths calculated by inserting them in the formula for modulus of rupture given in Eq 1 (See Note 1). It provides for Devmloded ined by controlled hyeraulie niversl-esting machine. A test cesul isthe mean vale fr each set of eplicat est specimens. The concrete mixtures tested contained various stel fibers (10 ses) or synthetic brs (16 ses) at ‘ferent fiber contents, All ext specimens had nominal mensions of 102, ‘um by 102 nxn by 356 mu [4 in by 4 in. by 14 in and were tested on 12305 ram (12 in} span, The test specimens foreach set were either ‘molded beams (19 ses) or beams et from sheerete panels (7 sets). 12.2. Bias—This test method has no bias since the properties, determined can only be defined in terms of this test method. 13. (Approved March 1, 2010) () Revised 12. (2) Revised Section 3 Terminology to add new measure of flexural performance in terms of equivalent Rexural strength ratio; added! new Note 4 and renumbered subsequent notes G) Revised 6.3 by changing the deflection to 1/900 when the sampling rate can be reduced. @) Revised 9.3 by changing the limits for rates of increase of net-defletion. Added new ‘Table 1 to simplify the text and renumbered subsequent tables. (5) Added new 94 to permit lower rates of increase of net
