The furniture goods will be going to flow from Bangladesh to Oman via ocean. It is more cost
effective way rather than by freight aircrafts. Container ships, carrying the furniture materials,
will be departed from Chittagong sea port to export in Oman. The container ships will have to
pass on the seas named Bay of Bengal, Laccadive Sea, and Arabian Sea to reach at Oman. The
nearest sea port from Chittagong to Oman is Port of Salalah, which is almost 1860 miles away
from Chittagong. It is the largest port in Oman, situated in the Dhofar Governorate, on the
Arabian Sea which is on the northern part of the Indian Ocean. It is centrally located at the
crossroads of trade between Asia and Europe with over 2.5 billion consumers, and serves the
markets of East Africa, the Red Sea, the Indian Subcontinent and the Arabian/Persian Gulf on its
doorstep. We have to manage the license for trading the furniture overseas. The custom tariff is
reasonable and we are going to deal with it.
