The Latin woman is characterized by being a poor and low-income woman. The first time we see
her in this chapter, she is at the charity store, buying cheap clothes, since in this store the prices
don´t exceed 10 dollars. It is natural for this woman to shop there due to her financial situation.

On the other hand, there is the American woman. She works as a waitress, and in the series, we
are shown that this woman doesn´t have economic resources either. However, when she goes to
the clothing store, this situation is less natural for her than for the Latina woman. Going to the
store and buying this type of clothing is a new experience for her.
