● Depending upon choice of State variables and method/
approach of obtaining SSR we can get any number of State
space representations
● Transfer Function Representation is unique
● For a SISO system we can get many state space
representations but when you convert into transfer
function all of them give same answer i.e transfer function.
● Out of many SSR we are going to study very few which are
having some peculiar pattern especially in State Matrix i.e
matrix A
● Controllable canonical form, Observable canonical form,
Jordan Canonical form.
TRANSFER FUNCTION TO STATE SPACE

1. System without zeros i.e numerator of T/F is constant
