1. Which character from the legends can you relate to? Why?

Linguit - because I hate when someone betray and disobey me.

2. The earth, the rivers, seas, sun, moon and stars are mentioned in the legends. Which elements
of nature are not mentioned? Why do you think are they mentioned?

Fire- As the story told, the fire is not included because the story of “The creation of the World” is all
about how did the earth and the parts of it created, people also and how it spread around of the
world.
3. Compare these two legends to other creation stories you know through the following aspects:

The Bible

A. The character: God, Adam and Eve

B. The plot:

Base on the bible, God created the whole planet one of them is Earth, in just 6 days and 1 day rest.
On the first day is light, second is the sky was created. The third day - dry land, seas, plants and trees
were created. The fourth day - the Sun, Moon and stars were created. The fifth day - creatures that
live in the sea and creatures that fly were created. Sixth day - animals that live on the land and finally
humans, made in the image of God were created. That’s how God created the Earth.

C. the origin of the human race: Humans first evolved in Africa, and much of human evolution
occurred on that continent. The fossils of early humans who lived between 6 and 2 million years ago
come entirely from Africa. Most scientists currently recognize some 15 to 20 different species of early
humans

4. In both stories, men and women are not directly created but come from the earth. What does this
mean?

- If there’s no Earth, how men or women (human) going to live? Human needs earth and other
element of nature to be alive.

5. The legend “The creation of the world” accounts not only for the creation of the world and the of
man and women but also of the different races. How does it account for the color of color of the
different races?

- Because not all people have the same color of skin. As we all know, it is because of our nationality or
where clan do, we came from etc. That’s how’s our color can be recognized.
