Describe how this Feld experience impacted sehool improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be aisessed? Visiting Duluth High school impacted the schoo! environment since will be stating a different Chromebook check out system in the Fall. We've stugales, in ‘he past few years ind the best check out system, Should individual teachers hou them? Shovld Academy Lets? Should administrators? Who should be responsible? We decided that we liked Duluth’s five Chromebooks per teacher system. We felt hat iencourages collaboration, an, if teachers need ‘mor. they ean cordate borrowing date ith eachother or checkout a laptop cat. We advocated for this system infront ofthe leadership ofthe schoo. ‘Adaiionally, we abserve ideas about how bes wo use academy time, syle hall-ype period in which students ean ave to other lasses. One of the ideas ‘vasa peer ving system where student “exper can travel tthe classroom of students who need help—this i organized once a week through 3 Spreadsheet. We reall liked this idea The academy time policies we saw could make a big diferent for Students strugaling in ou School. We could measure the success ofthis change by looking at failure ates from ist semester last year and comparing them ofl aes fom ist semester this year.
