Hopeful -ful
I am going to break students into groups based on prefixes and suffixes and they will move
from station to station. In the first station students will find two examples in the course texts
that use their assigned prefix or suffix, the second station will ask students for two other words
outside of the course texts that use their prefix/suffix and so on… At each station students will
fill in this chart but they will leave it there for the next group to fill it out with their
prefix/suffix. At the end, each group will share what they found about each of their
prefixes/suffixes. Also, the charts at each station should be filled out with the same
information and students will get to keep/use this as a tool as we move forward in the unit.
