Clinching concepts and knowledge building

Given the foregoing knowledge and the undulating landscape of public sector

and the wherewithal the state needs to address the needs of the state, it is

undeniable that public enterprise is very important. Moreover, it is very

important for the state or the government to come up with its own income

generating enterprises. This is more so in the field or sector where the private

sectors failed to fill in the void in the market economy.

Thus, there is a need for the government owned and controlled corporations to

exist. These GOCCs provide additional revenues to the government to finance

its services. These GOCCs are either banks, financing institutions, mass

transport systems, utility corporations, etc.

Thus far, we are done with 2 chapters already. It is my fervent hope that we

are learning a lot out of this modality of education.
