MY GRANDDAD

My granddad's name was James Cooper and my sister and I were very fond. When we were
children we used to go to my grandparent's house every Sunday for lunch. Our granddad had a great
sense of humour. He used to tell us jokes and funny stories about him, him experiences and etc.
He was born in London in 1928 and he had a very happy childhood. He had one brother and two
sisters and they all got on very well. In 1936 his family moved to Montreal in Canada and he lived
there for 10 years. He grew up speaking English and French little by little, in 1946 he returned to
UK to study Medicine at Cambridge University and he graduated in 1952 from this and worked in
different hospitals in UK to 1962.
In 1962 he got a job at a Hospital in San Francisco and lived in USA for 13 years and met my
Grandma and they got married in 1964. One year later my mom was born and she's only child. In
1975 when my mother was10, my grandad was offered a job in South Africa so they went to live
there in 1980. During this my granddad and the famous heart surgeon became friends. In 1988 He
retired of medicine and in 2000 he died, we miss him so much but he's in our hearts.
