● Student lives in a shelter

○ When student comes in to school be positive and make them feel wanted and

comfortable

● Multiple students when they get out of school go straight to work and do not get home

until late

○ They are working to support their family for various reasons

● Some students come to school each day solely for the guarantee of two meals, breakfast

and lunch

○ They come for a warm meal because most of the time they do not know where

their next meal may come from

● Since having the opportunity to go completely remote and be a virtual student we have

not heard or seen some students

○ In their family, education is not something that is valued and work is more

important

○ School is not a priority

● When some students go home they help out with raising their younger siblings

○ Some students who are completely remote are not focused on school because they

need to make sure their younger siblings are attending virtual school

■ They would prefer to be in school but cannot due to their siblings
