Guide questions:

A. How does this movie reflect the realities of life?

The movie Enola Holmes contains a lot of scenarios that are similar to the real world. The
story is about the teenage sister of the already-famous Sherlock Holmes, who goes to London in
search of her mother who has disappeared. As you continue to watch the movie, you’ll notice
women does not have that much right at that time. There’s a scene where Enola was being forced
to a school, where they teach how to be a “woman”, even though Enola never desired to be part
of that. This is the same as we are experiencing before and even today. Women was being
limited, and men also do belittle women. But in the movie, we can see Enola fighting for her
right and freedom, even her mother has the similar motive. In today’s time, a lot of women right
now are fighting for their rights and really showing the world that they are reliable too. It is
shown that women can be also strong, smart, resourceful, etc., like men. That’s what they have
been fighting for even in real life.

B. What have you realized upon watching the movie?

Women should be respected and never look down on them. They also have potential on being
great on something beside men. I realized that the world is really harsh, but fighting for the
right things, is something that could make the world a better place.
