4. What is proprietary and mention some examples?


Proprietary platforms are designed and developed by device makers for use on

Pros:

The structural design of shared information environments. The combination of
organization, labeling, search and navigation system within websites and intranets. The
art and science of shaping information products and experience to support usability and
find ability.

14. What is sub pixels and pixel density?


Sub pixel is a division of each pixel into red, green, blue (RGB) unit at a
microscopic level, enabling a greater level of antialiasing for each font character
or glyph.
The pixel density is determined by dividing the width of display area in pixels by
the width of the display area in inches
Eg: pixel density for 15.4 inch laptop is 110 PPI

15. What is font replacement?


Two most common font replacements are SIFR and CUFON. SIFR uses flash to
replace html text with a flash representation of text.

Cufon uses javascript and the canvas element draws the glyphs in the browser.
But the devices of course needs to support both javascript and the canvas element
