The straws shall be used when they are freshly cut, in the laboratory they will be subjected to
precleaning i.e. the removal of unwanted materials that could have come along with the feedstock and
this is then followed by washing with clean water

Cost estimation

The cost estimate based on the assumption that the required laboratory equipment will be hired and
that the other requirements such as the fermenting organisms, cellulase, reagents etc. will be bought
with my personal income, the approximate amount of money needed is five hundred thousand Ugandan
shillings (500,000=) and it is as illustrated below
