Assessment 3 : Based on the “Philippine Cooperative Code of 2008”,
enumerate the principles of cooperation and define each using the link below
as reference.
Cooperative principle describes how people achieve effective conversational
communication in common social situations, it shows how listeners and speakers
act cooperatively and mutually accept each others' sides, ideas and understanding.
We have seven cooperative principles, first is the Open and Voluntary
Membership where in they are willing to accept the responsibilities of
membership, regardless of race, religion, gender, or economic circumstances,
second is the Democratic Member Control, the cooperative in here are
organized in a democratic manner, the organization are being controlled by their
Members in terms of policy and decisions, third is Members’ Economic
Participation, it emphasizes the vital importance of members controlling the
capital of their organization, and indicates that they should receive limited
compensation on the capital they subscribe as a condition of membership, fourth
principle is Autonomy and Independence, the members here have a free will and
can stand behind their actions and values, fifth is Education, Training, and
Information where in the leaders give awareness and understanding of workplace
hazards and how to identify, report, and control it's members, then sixth principle
is Cooperation Among Cooperatives , Cooperatives serve their members most
effectively cooperative movement by working together through local, national,
regional, and international structures and lastly the seventh principle is the
Concern for Community where in, the cooperatives work for the sustainable
development of their communities through policies accepted by their members
while focusing on member needs. All this principles of cooperatives’ are important
because they are promoting the fullest participation of all members of an
organization in their own different ways that benefits the globalization and
communities while the members belong develop economically, socially and
culturally that makes it a win-win situation.
