Remote Supervision Guidelines
<Performance Unit E&S Team>
This guideline has been prepared with the goal of providing the most complete and timely
supervision service in order to meet the needs of clients entering the supervision stage
or for after sale service. The COVID-19 pandemic has created challenges to normal
operations for all parties. This guideline proposes alternative measures for the unusual
nature of the current travel and working climate in order to limit disruptions to our client’s
construction, maintenance and operation timelines.
B) Where COVID-19 restrictions have limited the ability of our technical supervisors to travel
and work, remote supervision offers a feasible option to carry out supervision or
inspection without affecting end-use operation.
A) The product indicated below is the minimal equipment required. Installation of this
equipment is recommended to be completed at least 7 days prior to the expected start
date of installation. This is to allow for 1 to 2 days of joint testing of the system to ensure
proper performance during the installation period.
B) This system allows for complete coverage of the transformer installation or inspection
works by means of the monitoring equipment indicated below.
*It is not possible to assure availability of the exact model of the product in each country where our clients operate.
*This guideline is meant only to indicate the minimum equipment requirements. Purchase and installation of the
equipment is not included in the scope of supervision or inspection.

inspection works.

lead internal connection.
-Please refer to the below in regards to required specifications.
3. Supervisor Operations
A) Remote supervisor will be working with the client in real time during the transformer
installation or inspection. The system described in these guidelines allows for immediate
interaction between client and remote supervisor to ensure proper sharing of instructions
and working procedures.
B) In order to meet the needs of clients across the globe, engineers in charge of remote
supervision will adjust their working hours as required and will communicate in English.
B) The client and supervisor will together work in real time as they handle the operations by
unit and fill the Check Sheet.
D) Pre-recordings of each step of the installation process forwarded to the client at least 2 to
3 days prior to the actual process being implemented on site. This provides the client with
valuable resources for educating, reviewing and planning with relevant staff.
B) Hyosung is currently carrying out installations based on the process described above for
clients across the world including NGR (Australia) and ISA(Colombia).
