On June five , World Environment Day is

celebrated. It was established by the United Nations
in nineteen hundred and seventy-two.

The objective of this day is to sensitize people about

the importance of the environment and promote
measures to raise awareness and protect it both on
the part of citizens and political powers.

Some of the activities carried out are of a formative

and also symbolic nature, such as planting trees or
cleaning contaminated areas.
