Summary of the story The Princess and the Pea

Once upon a time in a small kingdom a prince who wanted to marry a royal princess, traveled the
whole world, crossed valleys, rivers and mountains. But he found nothing, it was difficult to know
if they were real princesses and not fake princesses. He returned home again, sad and sorry that
he really wanted to find a princess with royal blood. One terribly rainy night someone violently
knocked on the castle door, the old king and queen were opening the main door, it was a princess
asking for shelter, she was defenseless and her clothes were soaked from head to toe. Although
she was in those conditions, she said she was a true princess. "Well, well, well, soon we will know
if she is a real princess or not" thought the queen and without anyone seeing her she went to the
bedroom, where the princess would sleep, and put 20 mattresses on the bed and under them she
put a pea to see if she was a real princess. The next morning the king, queen, and prince asked him
how he had slept. The princess answered: "It was unbearable, I couldn't sleep there, I lay on
something so hard that my whole body has bruises." Then the whole kingdom verified that she
was telling the truth, because only a true princess could be sensitive and notice something that It
makes him uncomfortable, like a pea, so the prince no longer had any doubts and took the
princess as his wife.
