Netflix is a leading internet entertainment company in the past few years. From the last 3 to
4 years people were mostly watch movies, shows on internet rather than to stick to the
television and watch them with advertisements. However, people prefer to watch these
things at a single platform, so entertainment companies were launch online platforms.
Netflix is providing online streaming services across more than 190 countries and have 130
million subscriptions. Entertainment industry were high rate of growth and it has also very
highly competitive and challenging. Netflix is the number one entertainment company
which have globally customers. Amazon and the Disney is the major competitors of the
Netflix, they have strong competition between them.

Netflix holds number one position in the world because people can easily stream movies
and shows from Netflix anywhere with the high level of convenience and accessibility.
Everyone can access Netflix from smartphone, tablet, laptop, or a TV. They provide superior
online streaming, customer centric, they also provide the content in the regional languages.
Netflix is a global company, so they make partner and joint venture with the regional
entertainment companies and provide the programs in their regional languages. In
developing countries Netflix use this strategy and get a big chunk of the customers.
Secondly Netflix quality is much better than the others and they gave us a competitive
advantage. Apart from providing original and high-quality content that can be viewed in HD
and UHD and in SD. Thirdly Netflix offering cheap subscription plans than the others and an
easily handle interface.

Netflix providing original content which is one of the best competitive advantage. They
provide customers original content, and they are investing larger and larger portion of its
budget in to creating original content and moving away from earlier strategy and other
company strategy of licensing content under the ownership by another studio.

Netflix is successful because they have wide variety of content and in regional language
content and easily accessible which give us the competitive advantage. We can define in
such way “better the content (original content), more the subscribers. More subscribers
mean more money.
