Objective
The primary goal of my nursing career has been to excel in as many capacities as possible in
psychiatric nursing. By doing so, I am now able to provide exceptional leadership and
demonstrate excellent patient care in the role of psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner.
Work History
2013 to Present, Staff Nurse, Acute Psychiatric Services, Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis
Adeptly moved between distinct roles as charge nurse, triage nurse and floor nurse. Provided leadership as
preceptor for new staff and student interns. Fostered and grew relationships with resources in the
community.
2012 to 2013, Staff Nurse, Inpatient Psychiatry, Hennepin County Medical Center
Quickly rose to be the lead nurse for Orange 8 ICU, a high acuity psychiatric unit. Was integral part of
weekly multi-discipline team meetings. Excelled in role of night shift resource nurse, a charge nurse for the
entire department. Mentored new nurses on roles and responsibilities of triage nurse.
2011 to 2012, Licensed Practical Nurse, Inpatient Psychiatry, Hennepin County Medical Center
Performed nursing cares and medication administration in context of six different inpatient units. Skillfully
navigated duties and relationships while economically managing time under the registered nurses of
department.
2011, Mental Health Worker, Inpatient Psychiatry, Hennepin County Medical Center
Provided one on one patient interactions while also assisting nursing staff with cares.

Awards Received
First Eagle Scout in the history of Rice, Minnesota. Recently nominated to the Hennepin County Medical
Center Nursing Leadership Council. Received Daisy Award for excellence in nursing, April, 2019.
Volunteer Experience
Taught English as a Second Language classes to adult learners through the Minneapolis School District.
